I Can't Solve a Simple Equation

Today in math, I took an opener on integral of a function. I did every step right and got down to 6 x 8 + 8. I wrote down 22 as my answer as I added 6+8+8 instead of multiplying 6x8. And Mr. Brose was looking at my opener and told the whole class of my embarrassing mistake. I was embarrassed by my mistake. Its ok though as I will get partial credit on that problem. What a stupid mistake by me!!! I was too I did everything correct but just couldn't read carefully enough.

Easy day Wednesday

Well I took everything easy and light today. Late start Wednesday which was nice getting that extra chunk of sleep. And I missed 1st and 2nd period cause I took the AMC 12B Test. Man it was hard as hell. I thought it wouldn't be as bad since I took the AMC 10 2 weeks ago but I was wrong. Some of the questions I saw were weird and was undoable. Math went by pretty fast as we did some integration stuff. Spanish was another easy day since we began chapter 6.1 today. MUN was chill.

Went golfing after school with Kris and Randy @ Ironwood. We played a practice round and while playing the course, we also practiced. After I hit the ball that I was playing, I would hit another practice chip or put. It was pretty fun as the rain stayed away which was cool. Shot a decent 40 as my putting and chipping cost me some strokes. I can't wait for my new driver to come in, which will be here within the next few days. Golf season starts next week! I am excited.

Catching up

Its been a while since I last posted. I have just been too busy with a lot of things and haven't had the time to sit down and write.

The month of January was mostly devoted to prepping for finals. Anyways, 1st semester finals were a SUCCESS. I finished with a 4.0, All A's. It was close though, 90.36 in chem, 90.15 in math analysis calc a, 91% in english. Everything else was solid. My math A was incredible. After taking the Pre-Christmas exam (in which I got a D), my grade was at a 84. But come January, we did free response questions. I scored 85% on one test, then 99% on the next one. Then the finals were free response questions and I got 97% (490/500) on the final. That propeled and helped my grade out. I slugged it out and mission accomplished: 4.0. Now, I just have to repeat that feat for the second semester.

So far this calendar year, 2010, we have gotten quite a lot of rain. My favorite part of the rainstorm was the one that hit on the week of January 19th. It rained every single day and it was heavy. A lot of streets were flooded like rivers and it was a pretty cool experience. I have never seen anything like that before and that was cool. Rain is actually good for us. We are in a drought in California.
