Projects are done

So my 2 projects that are due tomorrow are DONE. Yes, the biology evolution project on chinese river dolphin and the CD Book Report on the Outsiders for English are all done. I worked on it mostly today, this afternoon. Got it done and so now can focus on finishing the cold war project on Korean War. My group is about 70 % done. Just have to finalize a few stuff. That will be due on Wednesday, when we r presenting to the class.

My mom got tickets to the Dodgers game this Thursday in a suite but I'm not going. I have Spanish written finals the next day (darn it) and plus its game 1 of NBA Finals. Talking about the Finals, LAkers vs. Orlando Magic will be a good matchup. Kobe vs. Superman (Dwight Howard) will be a good matcup. I pick the Lakers win this series in 6 games.

Finals are also coming up. After these projects, now I can focus on the finals now. 13 more school days left I think. Then it's summer. These next few weeks will be "Study, study, study." I must do good on my final.

Good night.

Lakers vs. Denver Game 6

On to the Finals we go. Lakers won the Western Conferece championship tonight up in Denver, Game 6 as LA closed the Nuggets out. Lakers finally showed the killer instinct in back to back games and won 119-92, the largest margin in the series. Lakers played like champions right from the start, determined to end this west finals series. The task was completed.

I missed this game 6 actually. My golf round took me past the start and on the way home, listened to the game on radio, AM 570 til halftime and that was where the Lakers separted from the Nuggets. Then, went to a eagle court of honor so missed the second half but got updates on the score.

Kobe Bryant played tremendous again, going over 30 points once again, 35 pts 6 reb 10 ast. He got everyone involved and then became closer in 4th qtr, once again like how Kobe always plays. Lamar odom had 20 pts 8 reb off the bench as he played strong and aggressive for the second straight game. Pau Gasol had 20 pts 12 reb, his 9th straight double double. He is a double double machine. Trevor Ariza started game strong with 10 pts in 1st qtr and finished with 17 pts. Everyone got involved too.

So now, NBA Finals game 1 is this Thursday night. Lakers will face either Orlando or Cleveland. I hope for Lakers-Orlando matchup as LA will have home court advantage.

We can celebrate for tonight but then the final run begins. It has been a long foughtout 12 wins but 4 more to go for the destination.

Game 1 Thursday, 6:00PM on ABC.

Also I can concentrate on finishing my projects as Sunday, I can fully focus, no game 7.

Lakers vs. Denver Game 5

So it became a best of three series after Lakers lost Monday night to the Denver Nuggets up in Denver. And the Lakers responded well to game 5, playing as though it was an elimination game. Players stepped up, Lakers locked down their defense with 11 blocks. And after it was set and done, Lakers won 103-94 to take a 3-2 series lead. O ya, Lakers are 20-0 all time when playing game 5 at home after series is 2-2. This game was interesting as it was tied at the end of the first three quarters. 25-25, 56-56, 76-76 and then the Lakers pulled away. In the third quarter, when Lakers were down 71-64, they woke up and went on a 21-5 run to ice the game and put the game away.

Lamar Odom played like how he was supposed to. In 30+ minutes off the bech, L.O. had 19 pts 14 reb. He was aggressive once he checked into the game. He had this nice posterizing dunk over Birdman (picture on top). Odom seemed really happy and pumped up throughout game. He was smiling all game and that was a god sign for the Lakers.

Andrew Bynum started out great with 9 pts in 1st half but still looked pretty rusty. Sasha Vujacic barely played but nailed a nice three at end of 1st half on a pass from Kobe which tied the game up. Shannon Brown changed the pace of the game with that dunk on a pass from Pau Gasol. That inspired the LAkers to go on that third quarter run. Derek Fisher nailed down some shots in the first half and finished with 12 pts. Ariza also played great with 12 pts and good defense.

Kobe Bryant took only 13 shots, making 6. That is good. There is a statistic that Lakers have a higher winning percentage when Kobe takes under 20 shots. Today he did that. He played the facilitor role, dishing out 8 ast to go along with his 22 pts. Kobe played a perfect game. Got teammates involved early and that set the tone of the game. Pau Gasol again had a double double, this time with 14 pts 10 reb. I think this is his 9th straight double double. Pau can play like a point guard if he wasn't that tall.

Overall, this ballgame was a team effort. Everyone did their role, not only Kobe and Pau. The game was well officiated. It seemed as though the refs favored the Lakers on more calls. On some of those 11 blocks, Lakers players hit their hand but it was a good officiated game. This game betting line was Lakers by 6 and Lakers covered the point spread.

Game 6 will be tough. Denver's court, high altitude, refs, etc. It is on Friday at 6:00 PM. Watching SportsCenter on ESPN right now as I write, it is so cool. It is just like Lakers Live on FS West as the two anchors, Neil Evertt and Stan Vereet were doing the show live from L.A. Live with the Laker fans. I love it now with SportsCenter right across the street from Staples Center, the sports and entertainment capital of the world.

So 11 down, 5 wins to go for the destination.

Lakers vs. Denver Game 4

Here we go again...same case as the semifinals vs. Houston game 4 on mother's day. Lakers did not wake up and trailed the whole game and lost and the series was tied 2-2. Tonight was the same case as Lakers only had 1-0 lead in 1st quarter on Kobe's freethrows. 2-2 now, everybody is equal. Homecourt advantage is back to normal now. Lakers lost 101-120 but the score doesn't tell the story.

It is now a best of three series. Boy Denver rebounds good but its only one game. Lakers were in this game the whole game until the 4th quarter when they fell apart. LA trailed by 3 at end of 1st quarter and 7 at halftime. It was manageable but in the fourth as I mentioned things became unloosed as Lakers missed their shots and Denver made their shots.

Kobe had a decent 34 pts 7 reb 5 ast and tried to repeat the same game 3 performance but that couldn't happen tonight. Again, Mr. Consistent Pau Gasol had 21 pts 10 reb. Andrew Bynum started to show sign of his outbreaking with 14 pts, some in 4th quarter. That was the stat sheet.

Lakers have to work on their freethrows and boxout drills. LA was outrebounded badly as three nuggets had 10+ rebounds.

The refs were kind of shaky. Called a lot of technicals on the Nuggets especially the foruth quarter. Anthony got called for one as he was talking with Kobe. Andrew Bynum got called for a flagrant foul as he went for the ball while Birdman was going up for layup. The league will rescend that as it was bit intentional.

Lakers need to show a killer instinct in game 5. I am going back to my theory of NBA setting it up. Lakers will win game 5 at home, lose game 6 in Denver, and advance to the Finals with a game 7 win a week from today. For the East, Cleveland will win tomorrow night, then Cleveland again, Orlando, and Cleveland. It is all set up. I am gonna believe that now.

Lakers will win Game 5 at STAPLES Center as it is all set up.

Digital TV Converter Box

Today, I helped set up a Digital TV (DTV) converter for my grandma's 2 non cable TV that has been recieving signal over the air with the analog sticks. It was interesting settting it up and seeing the difference.

Setting up the converter box was really easy. All that needed to be done was to connect the analog signal to the converter box and then connect converter box to the TV. I followed the instruction in the instruction manual and it worked well. Then, I programed the converter box. A remote was included which isn't bad.

The TV channles were so clear. There were so many channels. I was surprised that about 60 channels from over the air popped up as I was scanning. There were many subchannels of a channel. For example, channel 4 had 4-1 (regular programing) 4-2 (Weather, news plus channel) and sports (4-3). Channel 18, the international channel, had over 7 channels. It is great as my grandma and grandpa can watch even more channels.

SO DTV is so clear. Things are being taken to a higher level. June 12, 2009, every channel will be like this as Obama extended the date from Feb. to June.

Golf with family

This Memorial Day Weekend, I have spent a lot of time with my family. Yesterday the four of us went biking. Today we all went golfing. And for my mom and dad, it was the first time ever they played a round of golf. For my sister, it was her first time golfing at Ironwood. And for me, it was my job to teach and help out my mom and dad on the tee box.

Ironwood is a nine hole par 29 course. I just started playing there this year with the golf team. It is not a regulation course. So my dad reserved a tee time of 3:04 for us yesterday. Got there about 30 minutes before and warmed up on the driving range and putting green.

Then it started. My sister went first and she hit the ball short left of the green. Next, my mom teed off and she hit the ball well. As a lefty, the ball went up and bounced a bit over the green. We were all surprised. My dad hit it to the right in line with the hole and I hit mine short up the middle. So all the nerves for them three were starting to fade as the jitters were out. On the second hole, I hit my driver shot up the middle good but my mom and sister both hit it into the water.

There was a group in front and back of us at first but eventually things worked out so there was some space in between us and the other group. That was great as in the later hole, we were able to take our time in finishing the hole. My mom and dad both got better as we progressed but they still need some work.

In the end, my mom shot a 55 (not bad for beginner as we played double par rules), dad shot a 52 along with my sister who shot a 52. I shot a 44 AGAIN. During the season, my best score at Ironwood was 44 in which I did it 2 or 3 times. Just can't break 44...

Afterwards, my mom said "I'm tired but I had fun. Good exercise."

My dad said "I am thankful that I'm able to be with my son and daughter." It was a great feeling as I finally got my whole family to play golf.

This Memorial Day has been great as I have spent a lot of quality family time.

BTW, I took a lot of pictures and videos on the golf course today. It was fun golfing today.

Lakers vs. Denver Game 3

For the 5th straight day, the NBA Conference Finals went down to the wire. So did Game 3 of Lakers-Denver in Western Conference Finals up in Denver. The elevation is over 5,000 feet and it was tough for the Lakers to play for a full 48 minutes game. Lakers won 103-97 as they came back from a first half deficit. They trailed throughout the game but showed who was #1 as Lakers finished the game strong.

Denver plays the game on runs. They go on quick spurts but Lakers always come back and trim the lead down. That is good for Lakers. They repsond well to the deficit.

"Mamba There goes that man." Mark Jackson of ESPN says that once Kobe makes a big shot and that was said tonight in the fourth quarter. Boy Kobe looked dogged tired after the game. Doing the post game interview, Kobe was all hunched over, drenched in sweat as he spoke with ESPN's Doris Burke. Kobe had 41 pts 6 reb and 5 ast. He kept the Lakers in the game as he just kept shooting and making it. Tonight was Kobe Doing Work. That three over J.R. Smith changed the pace and tone of the game. Kobe is UNBELIEVEABLE. He was Vintage Kobe all night. I don't know how Kobe nails those shots with the defender's hand right over your face. Great game by Kobe. He made nearly half his shots and almost all of his freethrows. Kobe was the CLOSER again.

Trevor Ariza made the play of the game with that steal of Kenyon Martin's pass into Carmelo Anthony. Again you have to also credit Lamar Odom for doing a great job defender Martin the inbound passer. This was the same exact scene in Game 1 as Ariza intercepted a pass. Tonight's steal cost Denver the win as Anthony fouled out. Ariza also made many clutch three point shots down the stretch in the 4th quarter. Ariza is playing well as he finished with 16 pts.

"Boom Boom Pau" was what Jeff Van Gundy called Pau Gasol after Gasol made a nice basket. Pau Gasol was consistent once again. He had 20 pts and 11 reb and led the Lakers back on that fourth quarter comeback of 8 points. He had a nice dunk in the second quarter and made many turnaround shots over Nene in the fourth. He was another guy that played well tonight along with Ariza and Bryant.

Game 4 is Monday night. I don't know who to choose for this game. Should I fall into the theory that I made up Thursday night of having all this set up or should I keep it the real way the game is being played? I don't know, but I will go with Lakers on Monday.

Tonight Lakers got 14 more freethrows but missed 14 of them. Good thing it did not cost Lakers the ballgame. For Game 4, Lakers need to nail down their freethrows. The refs did a pretty good job tonight.

Let's home theres no Memorial Day Surprise on Monday...

20 Miles, Marley and Me

What A day it's been so far. Not even over yet.

Anyways this morning, my family and I went on a bike trip. Started at Liberty Park and went up the San Gabriel River Bikepath. Went 10 miles and stopped once at Wilderness Park in Downey. My mom was the one who we all worried about but she did fine.

We biked up the smooth bike trial (kind of like driving in the mountains) and went all the way up to Slauson Ave. Our plan was to see if we could go all the Way to Whitter Narrows in Whitter but that did not happen as we only had 3 hours time frame.

So we did that and then turned back the same way down. 20 miles total which wasn't that bad considering we only had 30 minutes. It was a nice family event on this pleasant Saturday. The weather was foggy but ok at first but sun came out. Perfect weather for biking. In addition, it was a nice workout for all of us.

I have started reading the book Marley and Me. If you don't know out, it is about this person who raises a dog along with kids all the way til the dog dies. That book is a true fictous book. Marley is similar to my dog Rusty. Both are all playfull and wildish but in Marley and Me, the ending is really sad. Also gonna watch the movie later tonight on PPV after Laker game. BTW, I say Lakers win by a close one tonight up in Denver.

I have decided from now on to take as many pictures and make as many videos as I can of Rusty. In no time, he might be gone so I want to cherish the memories. I just bathed Rusty and made some clips of it.

The Laker Curse, This Weekend, One Year Ago

I have put a curse on the Lakers. I noticed it last night while I was sleeping. The T-shirt I got at the Laker Playoff Game 1 vs. Jazz say "The Journey Begins 4.19.09" and back says "The Destination" with a championship trophy logo. During Lakers vs. Houston Game 1 on Monday, May 4, I wore that shirt. LA lost. Mothers Day (5/11) I wore that and Lakers got blown out by the Rockets bad without Yao Ming. Then, yesterday, I wore that shirt again and Lakers lost to the Nuggets in Game 2. So in the meanwhile, I won't wear that shirt for the time being. That T-shirt curses the Lakers now.

Tonight, my family and I went to Memories Studio at Lakewood Mall and we took our family portriats. We took this picture where I dressed up like a guy from the 1920s. It was pretty cool. The pics will come out next friday.

This Memorial Weekend, I plan to do a lot of things. Tomorrow morning, my family and I will go biking up the San Gabriel River for a short little bike ride. Will try to finish in about 3 hours. Sunday, might go play some golf at Cerritos Ironwood with my family. Not confirmed yet. Monday, not sure what I will do.

Also this weekend, I have 3 projects. Will try to finish the English CD Book Report, which I'm doing on "The Outsiders". That is a pretty good book. Have to start that project this weekend. Due Monday, June 1.

Also have to do Korean War Project. We finished half the slides and my group and I will try to finish the powerpoint completely. We got pushed back from May 29th to June 3rd. So have 2 weekends to do this.

Then, have evolution project for Bio. Due June 1st also. My group and I started on it, the basic outline of it. So far so good.

In addition, I have to start prepping for Finals as it is coming up soon. Will try to finish Spanish Oral Questions (Finished level 1 and 5 and part of 2). Then, the other classes, biology, alg 2 trig, world history, english and NOT PE.

Will have busy weekend yet have to study and do school work. Just 3 more weeks left of school.

One year ago on May 22, 2008, I went to Fenway Park to watch the Boston Red Sox vs. Kansas City Royals play. I was in town for a college graduation one hour away in Providence. Fenway Park was awesome. We drove there and it was so hard to find parking. No parking structure and all the parking lots were all full. We spent over an hour finding parking before finding one about 4 blocks away. We entered through the Yawkey Way gate.

We got into Fenway in the middle of the second inning, it was 1-0 Kansas City. By the time we settled into our seats in the Right Field Grandstand 2, the bases were loaded and J.D. Drew was batting. He belted a grand slam into the Green Monster giving Red Sox a 4-1 lead. Daisuke "Dice-K" was on the mound and I felt lucky seeing him pitch. The game was a rare day game during the weekdays and the weather was strange. It rained off and on and there were many gray clouds in the sky. We were lucky as our seats were right under the right field roof deck. We did not get wet. Also in this game, Mike Lowell hit a grand slam too in the 6th inning. In the days leading up to the game, I thought Manny Ramirez was going to hit his 500th home run. But he did not and was stuck at 498 home runs.It looked like a blowout but Kansas City rallied back to make it 11-8. We got to see the Red Sox closer, Jonathan Papelbon pitch and earn his 14th save of the 2008 Season. The sun finally came out in the 9th inning. The song "Dirty Water" played after the final out of the Red Sox victory.

Final Out of Red Sox vs. Royals

The best part about going to Fenway Park was in the middle of the 8th inning. The whole Fenway Crowd sang Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline". All of the 37,000 + sang the song. It felt like a family singing the song together. That was really fun. Everytime you watch a Red Sox game, you must have sung Sweet Caroline.

oh The Good times feel so good so good so good... (from Sweet Caroline)

Lakers vs. Denver Game 2

For this Game 2 loss, I am blaming the Lakers, 20 % goes to LA. Lakers did not make their free throws down the stretch as Pau Gasol missed a few in the 4th quarter. Trevor Ariza missed a free throw too but overall he had a great game as he made all but one of his FG. Lakers just let the Nuggets back into the game, especially that second quarter where Linas Kleza knocked down a couple of threes. Lakers blew their lead and this loss is 20% on them.

The rest of the 80%, it goes to the refs. They messed up this game by making poor judgement on a few calls. Late in the 4th quarter with Lakers down by 2 and Pau Gasol and Chauncey Billips in a jump ball, J.R. Smith enterd the circle early. The ball was still in the air and Smith should've stayed outside of the circle. He jumped to the other side which messed things up. It should've been a sideout takeout for the Lakers instead, Chauncey Billips got the ball and nailed a few freethrows. That play should of gone to the Lakers.

Another big call the refs messed up was Kobe picking up his fourth foul as he was fighting for the ball with Carmelo Anthony. Anthony fell down in an akward angle and Kobe was caled for his 4th foul. Also, when Anthony was guarding Gasol, he slapped and pushed and reached in on gasol. Foul was called a few seconds later. WTH is wrong with the refs. Is it because of the theory I have come up with?

My theory is that the NBA wants to make this playoffs as amazing as possible. Meaning every single game going down to the wire, last minute with teams trading wins and hopefully going to a Game 7. This way the NBA can make more revenue money, selling more ads, more TV coverage, more press. They want to extend the regular game as long as possible. That's good but it's getting a bit too far. I wouldn't be saying this if Lakers had won this game but seriously, I believe a theory has been set up. NBA will do whatever it takes to get a Lakers-Cleveland NBA Finals. Lakers will get a split up in Denver.

I am not in a good mood right now. Tomorrow's Eastern Conference Final should be like this one, down to the wire. Cleveland will win to make it 1-1.

American Idol

I've been watching American Idol the last two days as it was going on across street of Laker game. Kris Allen won and so that's it. I don't have much to say as I don't understand how the process works.

Orlando Magic upsetted the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight. Both east and west conference finals should be intersting and down to the wire. Magic made a nice comeback as they wre down by 17 pts. Lakers game tomorrow should be an interesting game 2. We'll see how Denver responds to the game that they almost stole from Lakers.

I got lucky today. This morning, I was going over my math stuff and left my math folder at home. But during lunch, I called my dad and he brought me my math stuff. I still got the full stamp for the homework so I feel lucky today.

I have a few projects coming up in the next few weeks. Have to do Korean War Project, Biology Evolution Project and some other things.

O ya, 1 year ago, I went to Boston on this Wednesday night and it was a nice five day trip. Went to Boston, a Red Sox game, Brown University for my cousin's graduation, and then New York. It was a cool 5 day trip. I have great feelings looking back at the pictures.

Lakers vs. Denver Game 1

Whooooh! What a game it was. Game 1, just pure playoff basketball between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets tonight at STAPLES Center. Lakers prevailed 105-103 and take a 1-0 lead in Western Conference Finals. Lakers seemed to be sleepy and sloppy in the first half but woke up in the second half. Denver started out the game on fire, shooting over 61% from the field in 1st quarter but I knew Denver couldn't sustain that shooting performance throughout the game. Lakers did a great job staying close and taking bits of lead. Game was back and forth until the 4th quarter. Denver took lead but Lakers came back and answered. In the final minutes, Kobe made clutch freethrows, the final 6 points for Lakers.

Kobe Bryant had 40 pts as he outdueled Carmelo Anthony (39 pts). Anthony was on fire in the first three quarters as he nailed many threes, but Kobe controlled the 4th, scoring I think 15 pts. Trevor Ariza had the play of the game. That steal of the inbound pass into Chauncey Billips was intercepted by Trevor Ariza and that pretty much sealed the game. Derek Fisher nailed some clutch shots too, with that late 3 from the corner and had 13 pts. Pau Gasol was consistent again 13 pts 14 reb, but could've had 2 more had he nailed 2 free throws. That did not cost them.

The refs made some mistakes in this game. The off balance three by Chauncey billips should NOT have counted as he stepped on the line out of bounds. But that did not affect the outcome either way so there won't be major protests. Anthony and Kobe were physical and both were tangled up most of the time. Both played great defense.

I like how the Games starts at 6 for the Lakers now. This way, I can watch the game and still do some homework after the game.

Game 2 Thursday, LAkers will need to show up better right from the getgo. But overall, nice job closing the game out LAkers.

9 down, 7 to go.

Earthquake

The earthquake that hit at around 8:39 PM and lasted for 15 seconds was scary. It was a 4.7 magnitue earthquake. Boy, I've been shaken up since last summer's earthquake, a 5.2 that hit on July 29,2008. I remember that quake, I was in the backyard playing with my dog and was locked outside because of my sister but then the ground started shaking and some rumbling. I screamed and went outside. Boy, that was the first real one I felt.

The one today, I was sitting next to computer and felt some shaking. My dad yelled "Earthquake" and we all ran outside. Good thing only a 4.7 and we all ran outside. Then it stopped.

Lately, I've been feeling so many earthquakes now after last summer.

When's the big one gonna fall? We don't know. Hope it isn't a big disasterous one.

I am scared now when I feel some shaking especially at school.

Lakers vs. Houston Game 7

The Houston Rockets failed to launch this afternoon. The inspired championship contender Laker team showed up to play and they blew out the Houston Rockets 89-70 in game 7 of the western conference semifinals. Lakers flat out dominated right from the getgo, racing out to early 8-0 lead and never trailed. It was a total team effort this afternoon at STAPLES Center for the Lakers. It was low scoring but everyone did their roles and that was that.

Pau Gasol played like a MVP with 21 pts and 18 reb. He was really dominating and could not be stopped, grabbing rebounds after rebounds and tipped in many shots. Kobe Bryant had 14 pts and 7 reb and was pretty quiet. He made this unbelieveable shot over Shane Batier who put his hand in his face. That was amazing. Andrew Bynum had his breakout game with 14 pts 6 reb and its good as he has his confidence back. So Lakers are fully loaded. Ariza played well too, adding 15 pts.

Laker fans, relax. Don't worry about the Lakers. Lakers only went to a gaem 7 as that way, they can sell more revenues, make more profits and the players can make more money. That is my theorey. It was all set up.

So Lakers will face the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night in Game 1 of Western Conference Finals. From now on, all Lakers game start at 6PM or earlier so that is good as it won't go late into the night for us.

8 down, 8 to go. Halfway to championship

50 Mile Bike Ride

Today, I did the 50 mile bike ride with my boy scouts troop. Yes 50 miles. We started at Regional Park around 8:30 and biked down the cyote creek trail and merged with San Gabriel River trail. Then, turned on Pacific Coast Highway and zoomed down. Rode on Bike Lane on the highway. We shared the road withe the cars. It felt scary at first with the cars going at 50 MPH, but I eventually blended in the cars. It was nice. Went past Seal Beach, then Sunset Beach, Huntington Beach, and then to Newport Beach. We stopped at a McDonalds there and had lunch. It was abt 12 PM. Man, HB is really crowded, especially around that pier. When we stopped, boy my butt was sore from sitting down. It will sure be sore tomrorow.

After lunch, came back the same way. For some reason, it seemed much faster which was probably due to us wanting to get home. Left at 12:40PM and rode. Again, we shared the road with cars and then made a different route coming back. Turned on Seal Beach Blvd and then we made this illegal crossing across the Blvd to this secret path. It was pretty nice. I ran into a deep pothole and my seat got jacked up but I fixed it. And then we got back to Regional Park at around 3:20 PM.

I tested out my new Trek 800, which my dad got last week, and it worked out perfectly. It held up fine. This bike ride was fun. We rode along side the coast and got to see the ocean, although it was mostly an overcast day today. I am glad I accomplised this ride. 50 miles, it wasn't easy.

Sub Day

It was subsitute day at school today. I had 4 subs out of my 6 classes. My 1st three classes (Biology, English, MUN) were all subs in addition to Spanish. What is going on today? Are the teachers all planning for something today. So the 1st time in history for me where most of the teachers are gone.

My mom and dad's anniversery is today, May 15. It is their 17th anniversary. My sister and I made a banner and bought a card for them and they are really thankful of us doing that. I feel pretty lucky. We had a nice dinner tonight at Macaroni Grill.

I have a busy Saturday tomorrow...

Lakers vs. Houston Game 6

Here we go again. The Laker team that is uninspired came out today, unlike Tuesday night, in which the mighty Laker team showed up. Lakers came out of the gate big trailing by 18. I did not catch the 1st 3 qtrs of the game as I was at the CIF Volleyball game of Cerritos. But I got some updates and heard Lakers were down by 7 in the 3rd quarter. So came home and watched it when game was over. It was not a good thing. Lakers trailed wire to wire the whole game but did not seem as worse as Game 4 though.

Kobe Bryant had another 30 pt game with 32 pts but did not shoot the ball well. Pau Gasol played consistent yet again with 14 pts 11reb. Andrew Bynum showed flash in game 5, but did not score in game 6. The only other productive Laker was Jordan farmar, in which he had 13 pts off bench, 11 in 1st 10 minutes of action. Lakers just could not stop Aaron Brooks. They can not defend the pick and roll game.

Lakers are like a roller coaster. Now they are on the down side and getting criticized in the media but all they have to do is win Game 7 and everything will be reversed. Lakers have responded well to poor performances and we'll see if Lakers can do it Sunday. I believe Lakers can. This will be the second ever Game 7 at STAPLES Center and we rarely see Lakers play in a Game 7 (e.g. Boston, who has hosted 3 game sevens in the last two years and will have one on Sunday too.) Hey Laker fans, this is what playoff basketball is about right. Lakers got some challengers.

Lakers will win Game 7. They just cannot lose or else the NBA will be a mess. No one will watch then.

Biking to school

Last Thursday, I took a blood test to see what I'm allergic too. Results came in a few days ago. It is not to DOG so thats good. I am not allergic to Rusty! But it is grass. Yes the green stuff that grows on everyone's front lawn. No wonder I get itchy when I go on grass. Thank goodness. My allergies are better as I have used this nasal spray to help me be better.

Today, I biked to school for the 1st time ever. IT was quite fun. Late start so I had time. It took about under 20 minutes. The big freeway bridge was easy to cross. Very gradual uphill. It was fun. A nice workout going there and coming back. I might do it some other day. Biking to school is not too bad.

School's almost done. I need to buckle down and finish strong the final stretch of the school year. I am going to finish strong.

Spanish test tomorrow. I hope to continue my streak of A's on test this second semester.

Lakers vs. Houston Game 5

This is how the Lakers are supposed to play. Tonight was a perfect example. After the embarrasing performance Sunday, many writers and critics started saying how Lakers lack killer extinct, blah blah blah. But it will be different in tomorrow's headlines. All this season, when Lakers lost a game they were supposed to win, Lakers always responded well. Same as tonight.

118-78. Final score. 40 pts. Blowout. Largest defeat in Rockets history. That's about it. Lakers outplayed them in 1st qtr, scoring 35 pts. It was a blowout then. Shannon Brown's new nick name is Downtown Shannon Brown. He nailed some shots today. So did Kobe, Pau and Andrew Bynum who finally showed some great potential with 14 pts 6 reb. Lamar Odom, u hav to give him credit. Playing with a bad back, he still scored 10 pts and grabbed + reb. Nice job overall. Everyone got to play and all 12 scpred. The STAPLES Center crowd chanted "we want mbenga" in the 4th quarter and they got him. Powell had 10 pts off bench.

Lakers killed the Rockets and now the Rockets are on the down side. How fun this series is! 1st lakers get blown out, not actually, and now houston. Lakers will close this thing out Thrusday night. I say LAkers win by 10 or more points. This Rockets team were lucky in game 4, relying on shooting and their shots fell. It did not fall tonight.

WWII Rhapsody

In history class today, we had to sing our songs for WWII that we made up. I wrote mine based on Boheiman Rhapsody by Queen. Wrote the lyrics last week. Here is the lyrics...

Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
Hitler led the Germans, out of their economic funk
Now he’s really mad, wants to blame the Jews,
For the Great War and the bad market
Soon he started the Holocaust and used the blitzkrieg method to control,
Much of Europe

Pacific, Japan desired an empire
They annexed many countries,
Including China, and Korea
Then they, bombed Pearl Harbor
On December 7, 1941
2400
Americans were killed
The U.S. entered the war,
The battle of Midway turned the tide in favor
Of the Allies
Then there was the victory at Iwo Jima

Too late, Hitler targeted the Jews
He put them into bad ghettos
He was a really cruel man
Goodbye everybody, there goes the Jews
He used many methods to rid the Jews
One of it was to
Trick them into shower
Then they dumped gas and coal on them

So I sang it and I was the last one in class today. The lyrics are only one part of it though. A lot of people applauded for me and called for encore. I was suprised in getting the reaction. I was not nervous at all while I was singing.

Lakers vs. Houston Game 4

First of all, Happy Mother's Day. I watched this game with my family and relatives via my grandma's house.

Ugly. Pathetic. Unnspiring basketball. That is how I describe this afternoon's Game 3 loss by the Lakers to the Rockets. Lakers weren't in this game right from the getgo, losing big. 9-0 was the 1st few minutes and that was it. Lakers lost 87-99, and the series is now tied at 2. Game 5 is Tuesday in L.A. Must win for Los Angeles.

Kobe, man he started the game with 13 pts but only had 2 the rest of the game. What happened to him. He should've been scoring 30+ points today. Aaron Brooks had career high game and all of this was without Yao Ming. Lamar Odom he got injured a bit after being called for charge in the 3rd qtr. Hope's he's ok for Tuesday. Pau Gasol was pretty decent.

Lakers were down by 30 points in the thrid quarter but made a nice run at it. Shannon Brown hit some threes along with Jordan Farmar. Cut it to single digits in the 4th. So 2-2 now. Nothing much more to say on this Mother's Day.

We'll see how Lakers respond on Tuesday.

REI

My dad picked up three bikes yesterday. They are all brand names and were really rusty but he changed it up. The tires got replaced and we used a special method to decrease the rust and it worked. One men's bike and 2 women's bike we got all for free. The face value is about 300 dollars. So got a lot out of it. I testrided them and it was comofortable.

Went to REI today down in Huntington Beach. I never been to that store before and it was pretty cool. I bought some high quality hiking boots, vortex which feels really comfortable, especially the inside part. So when I hike this summer in Philmont, it will be great for me. Also bought this sleeping pad which is cool as the air inflates itself plus a few other small things like hiking poles.

Mother's Day is tomorrow. I have prepared to give something and a card to my mom. It will be special. Will have a lucheon at my grandma's house. All the boys will do the work, the cooking and preparing in honor of mothers. I will be doing something.

Yao Ming broke his left foot last night. Dang, he's been injured a lot. Hope his fractured foot will heal fast. Being tall has some bad sides to it too.

Derek Fisher tweeted last night while watching game from hotel room. You can follow me from twitter, twitter.com/ktcn15.

Mother's Day tomorrow...

Lakers vs. Houston Game 3

Game 3 just ended. Lakers defeated the Houston Rockets 108-94 and now take a commanding 2-1 series lead. So homecourt advantage is gained back. It was another hell of a game 3. Lakers had lead early but relinquished it but eventually gained it back in the third quarter and the Rockets had no answer.

Boy, Yao Ming looks hurt. The ESPN Cameras shot his right knee and it was all swollen. Hope he is well as Yao better not have hurt his knee. Anyways, to the best of the night for the Lakers. Kobe Bryant was invincible again. 33 pts 6 reb and many clutch threes. He nailed a three from deep top of the key at the buzzer of third quarter. Kobe was unstoppable again. In addition, Kobe is 6th all time in Playoff Scoring Points again. Passed Larry Bird tonight.

Lamar Odom had 16 pts 13 reb and was huge again. He started the game on the 1st possession by dunking a lob pass from Trevor Ariza. Pau Gasol, 13 pts, but was fouled hard by Ron Artest near end of the game. That should not have been a flagrant 2. The NBA Adminstrators are really picky and will suspend players for anything. It was only a hard foul, shouldda been a flagrant one. LOL Ron Artest is ejected for 2nd straight game.

Lakers win and we can all relax now. No more serious panicking about that game 1 loss, which was a wake up call. Sunday on Mother's Day, we'll see if Lakers can damper the hearts of the Houston Rockets in Houston.

Manny Ramirez Suspension

So a few days ago, I was all talking about my favorite team besides Lakers, the Dodgers. Manny Ramirez driven them to 13-0 record at home (best start ever) and are leading Washington Nationals right now. If they win tonight, then they will be 14-0. Big news all around L.A. sports world today.

Manny Ramirez is suspended for 50 games for violating the MLB Banned Substance policy. It is NOT steriods, but this HgC drug, that does something with testoterone. Manny got tested positive during Spring Training. This will be a huge blow to the LA Dodgers but if they can get through this time period, then they will be in good shape. Manny will lose 7 million off his 25 million salary. I am surprised and delighted for him. He said it was his own fault for not knowing the banned substance list. I can't believe Manny would do this. Now for the next month or 2, Dodger Stadium will probably lose some fans and some revenue cuz Manny isn't there. We'll just wait for July 3, when he can return.

The other big news is that Derek Fisher was suspended for yesterday's hard foul on Luis Scola. He ran over him and knocked Scola down. It was not intentional. Lakers had foul to give and he wanted to use it. But it will teach the Rockets a lesson that the Lakers are not soft. Luckily, Kobe Bryant did not get suspended for elbowing Ron Artest. Dwight Howard got suspended one game for elbowing a player.

My left arm is soar right now. Went to doctor today and had a shot and had blood drawn out of me. It is soar but will be better tomorrow.

Lakers vs. Houston Game 2

So the series is tied 1-1. What a Game 2 it was. Phyical, hard fought, agressive by both sides, and a message sent to the Rockets that the Lakers are not soft and are tough.

Derek Fisher gave a hard blow to Luis Scola in the third quarter as he was fighting through pick and knocked scola hard. It was unintentional. Lakers had foul to give and Fisher wanted to use it. Hope he won't be suspended for game 4. Fisher got ejected

Ron Artest got mad when Kobe elbowed him while he was boxing Artest out. Then, Artest got mad and came and shoved and pushed Kobe. Kobe was good as he didn't fight back and Artest got ejected. Boy, 5 technicals were called in this game. Physical.

Kobe Bryant had 42 pts and Pau Gasol played decent again.

I've noticed Aaron Brooks looks like Chris Rock and Sasha Vujacic loooks like Luis Scola.

Game 3 Friday, we'll see how Stu Jackson (NBA Discipliarian)rules on it tomorrow.

Teeth Cleaning, Dodgers, Ducks

My teeth are all clean as I got them cleaned today at the dentist. It is clean now but will soon by dirty again.

Lebron James is MVP. O Well. Kobe will win Finals MVP then, the one that counts.

I am also a LA Dodgers and Anaheim Ducks fan right now. Man the Dodgers can't lose at home. 12-0 at home and best record in the major leagues. Not bad for the team that was once known as the "Choking Dogs" by TJ simers of the LA times. Manny has really changed the culture of beisbol here in L.A.

The Ducks beat the Detroit Red Wings tonight at Honda Center 2-1 to take a commanding 2-1 series read. These Ducks are playing great hockey right now. They came into the playoffs on fire as #8 seed and then knocked off #1 San Jose and now are in lead of #2 seed Detroit.

I have started to study for math and history test this Friday. Both 300 point each.

Lakers vs. Houston Game 1

So Lakers dropped Game 1 of Western Semifinals 100-92 tonight at STAPLES Center. They now trail 0-1 to Rockets. It's ok. Only one game...

Kobe had the flu and had soar thoart last night and had fever I think, had 32 pts 8 reb but took too many shots, 30 +...

Yao Ming scored 28 pts and he got injured but came back. Some chinese pride there with yao ming...

Other than that, nothing else to write about, Lakers were too rusty...

Onto game 2 Wednesday night now.

I Search

Haven't blogged in a few days. Lakers are losing by 3 to Rockets right now. It's ok...

We have a I Search in english right now about colleges and our careers. It is interesting...

Will comment on Lakers-Rockets Game 1 later tonight or tomorrow...

Finishing up hwk, then watch Lakers game...

FAME

Just came back from the show FAME which was really cool. The Drama Club acted out the story of a New York Performing Arts School and the students from auditions in freshmen year to Senior year. They go through a saga where they start out as individual selfish people but become best friends and work together. Ray Roazol acted as Ralph Ray and he was funny. Made many jokes and screwed around. Mentioned Joe Vitug many times. The cast did a great job. It was a nice play to go to. FAME was fun.

I have a long day tomorrow. I have four schedules and amazingly, they don't coinincide.

Good night
